The Right Choice

Ten reasons to choose us!

Commitment to quality

Quality is a product of accomplishing many things successfully, and consistently, at a very high standard:

  • Meeting your expectations
  • Refining order processes, reporting, invoicing and communication
  • Following well-defined quality-assurance processes
  • Exceeding industry certifications
  • Engaging the best possible resources

Speed

We turn around quotes quickly and can complete your translation project, or set up an interpreting assignment, in compressed time frames.

We have a "live answer" phone system so you can quickly reach someone to place an order or get a question answered.

Our 24/7 secure Web portal lets high-volume-translation clients enter orders directly to speed up delivery.

Lower costs

We can show you how to reduce your out-of-pocket costs while maintaining quality.

In translation, our advanced translation-memory and term-base technologies enable us to lower per word costs as your asset base grows.

In interpreting, we can negotiate volume discounts with vendors and pass along the savings to you. We also make reminder calls to limited-English-proficiency persons to reduce missed appointments.

Reduced administration

We believe that time is money and you have better things to do with your time than process paper.

Our in-house IT team can customize processes and automate the compilation of reports to meet your precise needs.

This will save your organization the costly time required to sort out month-end approvals, and enable you to provide management with detailed reports.

Over 180 languages

What sets us apart from other language services providers is our expertise in handling multilingual projects.

The Internet is enabling businesses to compete globally, and at home our immigration policy is changing the linguistic landscape of our communities.

In Canada, more than 200 different languages are spoken across the country with fast growth in Punjabi, Chinese languages, Spanish, Tagalog, Arabic and Urdu.

45+ years experience

Over the years we have built our reputation on trust. What you can expect from us:

  • Reliability - We will deliver on time and on budget.
  • Transparency - We will ensure that you completely understand costs and how we create value.
  • Collaboration - We will learn about your business, and respond to your feedback in a positive and proactive way.
  • Accountability - Our president is always available.

Confidentiality

All Languages requires every employee and contractor to sign a confidentiality agreement.

All data is stored on a secure server with access through a 128-bit SSL Web service. Each server is backed up nightly and encrypted for added protection.

All paper copies of confidential information are shredded and destroyed by CINTAS Document Management.

To deliver quality services we rely on a well-trained staff managed by an experienced senior-management team.

All our administrative, IT, sales, and marketing staff are located in our head office, including client services (which other companies often outsource offshore).

Corporate milestones

1971

Year of incorporation

The founders of the company are multilingual and got involved in translation when their business associates frequently asked them to help translate documents.

There were few translation companies in Toronto at that time, and there were no regulations or governing bodies for the industry. Anyone who spoke two languages could try their hand at translating or interpreting.

All Languages Ltd was founded with the belief that a professional language-services company that was committed to fast quality service could prosper and become an industry leader.

1991

Relocation to 421 Bloor Street East

The company's commitment to quality attracted business clients from all industries, which fueled revenue growth and increased the size of full-time staff to fourteen. More space was required, prompting the company to relocate its head office uptown.

The on-site staff consisted primarily of in-house translators and a small management team. The interpreters were freelancers who were always on the road due to the nature of their profession.

Over time, the number of translators located in the head office dropped to just a few as technology enabled them to work from home.

2004

Computer-aided technology

The rapid advancement of technology had a great impact on the language-services industry, especially in areas related to the automation of manual and repetitive tasks (much like computerization impacted the accounting industry).

The company's management was forward thinking, which led to the early adoption of advanced Computer Aided Translation software and systems that improved consistency and reduced costs.

The company invested in Translation Management Systems to efficiently share data, automate workflows, manage term bases and memories, perform terminology extraction and more.

45th Anniversary

All Languages recently reached its 45th anniversary milestone.  Today, it is still owned and operated by the founding family which has developed many loyal people with robust careers. This includes both non-linguist employees, and our network of hundreds of dedicated translators and interpreters.

Our company has built a reputation for having a "yes we can!" attitude. Our clients include thousands of companies, across all industries, several of whom are listed in the Financial Post Top 500.

Industry Involvement

Industry leadership

For many years All Languages has been deeply involved in the translation and interpretation industry. Along with other industry leaders, we were very active in the establishment of governing bodies which led to the definition and implementation of certifications and quality standards.

We continue to participate at the executive level in key language-industry associations which aim to improve the competitiveness of the industry through advocacy, accreditation and information sharing.

This provides us with insight into innovative solutions and best practices that help us achieve high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
